Line Tracing Robot Pets:
Interactive Art & Robotics
In South Korea, the number of pets is increasing. By creating own robot pets that follows a self-made path with black tapes, students can develop an affection for their own creation while gaining a basic understanding of robotics.
The technology used in this activity is based on a fundamental robotics education, the line tracer.
Step1.
Imagination Drawing of a Robot Pets World
Kids can enhance creativity and learn to express individual thoughts by drawing and presenting each imagination of a robot pets and the world they live in.
Step2.
Create Own Robot Pets
By creating individual robot pets using various of materials; yarn, doll eyes, recycled materials, balloons, cotton balls, and colored pencils, students have the opportunity to explore a variety of materials and develop their sensory skills.
Step3.
Design a Path for Robot Pets
Create a path that the robot pets can walk on by attaching black tapes.
Step4.
Complete Imaginary Drawing of the Robot Pets World
Based on the imaginary world of robot pets drawn in Step 1, consider further detailed creation and design imaginary country or city along the path created in Step 3.
Step5.
Test My Robot Pet!
Test how well my robot pet follows and navigates the paths in the imaginary world I created!
